Anuj is the CEO of SecondWave Systems, a clinical stage company treating rheumatoid arthritis with its wearable noninvasive device using low-intensity focused ultrasound stimulation. The home-use SecondWave MINI device provides a practical complement or alternative to the existing standard of care, which relies on costly drugs with undesirable side effects, and often provides insufficient control of disease activity. SecondWave's clinical studies have demonstrated positive results showing a reduction in disease activity for both moderate and severe patients. By pioneering this novel method to treat inflammation, SecondWave is leading the way towards a new modality in medical therapy.
Anuj’s experience in medical technology comes from prior work at The Ultran Group, Medtronic, and 3M. Throughout his career, he has been focused on transitioning new technology developments into commercial products and has spent the last several years at SecondWave building a pioneering new therapy for inflammation treatment. Anuj holds an SM in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from MIT, as well as a BS in Mechanical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.
