Rachel Wurzman, Ph.D., is a neuroscientist and neuroethicist who currently serves as a Partnering & Engagement Consultant with the American Brain Coalition (ABC) in support of multi-partner engagement support initiatives. She was recently a Neuroscience & Society Fellow at the Dana Foundation, where she advanced multidirectional engagement approaches addressing field-wide challenges in neurotechnology development. Previously, Dr. Wurzman was a Fellow with the Penn Center for Neuroscience and Society and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Neurology with the Laboratory for Cognition and Neural Stimulation, both at the University of Pennsylvania. Over the past decade, Dr. Wurzman has served as a subject matter expert and neuroethics advisor to multiple public and industry neuroscience initiatives, projects, working groups, and programs, including DARPA's N3 Program. She was also a co-founder and Director of Science for SeekHealing, a nonprofit focused on improving relational social health in communities to amplify the effectiveness of mental health treatment systems. Dr. Wurzman is the author of over 30 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and white papers, and was a 2017 TED speaker. She received her PhD in Interdisciplinary Neuroscience from Georgetown University, MS degrees from Georgetown University and Case Western Reserve University, and a B.A. in Neuroscience from Smith College.
