Dr Cécile MORO is a French Research Director, focused on health innovation, as contributing to cure people is her main motivation. She is leading the Photobiomodulation topic for Health team, mainly focusing on Parkinson disease. She obtained her PhD in 2007 after a high level training at Ecole Normale Superieure of Lyon, combined with animal experiments expertise. Working on a multidisciplinary environment with engineers and medical doctors, Dr Cécile MORO has a large range of skills to conduct research programs from fundamental research to clinical application. In particular, her team demonstrated since 2011 the neuroprotective effect of PBM on parkinsonian models. This breakthrough allowed a First in Man clinical trial in 2021 (NCT04261569). Dr Cécile MORO's work was recognized in 2023 through NETEXPLO price (associated to UNESCO) identifying 10 international projects able to change human society. Her Research Gate index is 22 and she has been granted several fundings, through international and national academic and industrial collaborations.
